Private Information

The primary type of private information that RideBuy stores is your Internet Protocol (IP) address. The IP address is necessary in order to send web pages back to your browser to view. Like many other web sites, RideBuy makes use of log files. The information inside the log files includes your IP address, type of browser, date/time stamp, referring pages, and pages viewed. This information allows us to administer the site and gather analytics about how users are interacting with it.

RideBuy also works with a number of partners to provide you with vehicle listings and to better understand how you use our site. When we display images or content from these partners, they may receive your IP address in order to send the image to your browser. They may also receive the URL of the page you are viewing, which could include what you are searching for on RideBuy — for example, the vehicle filters you have entered. These partners may have the ability to save cookies in your browser, which will allow them to track when they encounter the same browser again in the future. Through the normal course of browsing our site, the only data we receive about you are your IP address and any information you enter into our search forms — for example, information about the vehicles you are searching for. Your name, physical location, and other private information (with the exception of IP address and search information) are not received by us or shared with anyone else. We also do not have the ability to associate your IP address with a specific physical location, individual, or household.

Right to Not Have Your Private Information Sold

Residents of some states have the right to opt out of having any of their private information sold. We have no interest in selling anyone's private information. However, as described above, there are some circumstances where your IP address and potentially the page you are visiting may be shared with our partners in order to show you vehicle images or content.

If you would prefer not to send your IP address or other private information to any other parties besides RideBuy, you may disable third-party cookies through your browser settings or install a browser extension such as uBlock Origin.

Right to Know What Private Information Is Stored, and to Have It Deleted

You have the right to request a copy of any of your private information that we have stored. Upon proof of identity we will provide you with all log files and search history we have associated with you. To request this history, please send us an email at admin@ridebuy.com. You may also request that the information be deleted.

If you have only performed searches on our site and potentially clicked through to vehicles on third-party websites, we have no way of associating your identity with any stored information. We may have log files recording the page requests you have made, but we have no way to associate those with a specific person, and therefore are unable to share them.

Our Partners

We have partnered with a number of classic car dealers, auction houses, and listing aggregators to provide you with vehicle listings. In cases where you click on a vehicle in our search results, you may be taken to a detail page hosted on our site or redirected to our partner's website.

In any case where you click a link on RideBuy that opens a webpage at a separate website, your browser will send your IP address to that website so that it can send you the requested page. You may also choose to send other private information — for example, if you fill out a contact form on a partner site. RideBuy has no control over or involvement with these interactions. You should consult the respective privacy policies of these third-party linked sites for more detailed information on their practices. RideBuy's privacy policy does not apply to any interactions that occur on third-party websites.

Cookies and Web Beacons

RideBuy uses cookies to store information about visitor preferences, record user-specific information on which pages the user accesses or visits, and customize web page content based on the visitor's browser type or other information that the visitor sends via their browser.

Some of our partners may use cookies and web beacons on our site. These may be used to measure the effectiveness of their services, to personalize the content that you see, or to build a profile in order to provide relevant information to you across multiple websites. RideBuy has no access to or control over these cookies that are used by third-party partners.
